A few years ago there literally was not a digger to be had and it was starting to have a negative impact on our business in terms of allowing us to hire the plant we required to assist us in fulfilling our contractual obligations.
We took a brave decision to buy our own plant and safeguard against the peaks and troughs of the supply of available plant in the marketplace at any one time. This turned out to be one of the best business decisions (albeit a scary one at the time, with the size of the investment required) that we have made.
We can now control the availability of our own plant to ensure we can deliver on our promises!
This investment also led to the start of another business opportunity for Allstone Glasgow and we are now in a position to hire our plant out, along with our operators to customers that need them.
